The Ice Barn Shaved Ice Snoballs
If you’re craving something cool, colorful, and crazy-delicious, let me put you on to a local gem—The Ice Barn Shaved Ice Snoballs in Sugar Land, TX. Nestled at 15910 Old Richmond Rd, this spot is your go-to for that perfect icy treat on a Texas day.
What makes The Ice Barn stand out? It’s not just about shaved ice—it’s about flavor-packed snoballs that go way beyond your usual. We’re talking soft, fluffy snow drenched in vibrant syrups that taste like childhood summers but with grown-up flavor creativity. From classic blue raspberry to wild mixes like Tiger’s Blood or Wedding Cake, they’ve got something to hit every craving.
What I love most is how customizable everything is. Want extra syrup? Cream on top? Sour drizzle? You got it. Whether you’re a toppings lover or a flavor purist, they let you build your perfect cup of joy. Kids love it, and honestly—so do adults who need a little sweet escape.
The Ice Barn also nails the chill outdoor vibe. The setup is casual, super welcoming, and designed for you to hang out, kick back, and enjoy. It’s one of those places you drive past once—and then keep coming back to because nothing else hits quite the same.
Oh, and pro tip? They’re a seasonal spot, so make the most of it when the sun’s out. Perfect for family outings, quick dessert runs, or just treating yourself after a long day.

Pretty sure they have the dopest snowballs in city. Well over 100 flavors. I typically go for the blackberry with mad cream (pause)
Wish that more people would figure out what they want to order before getting to the register.. Be more respectful for the people waiting in kind behind you. Guess that could be said for any place you go Needs a bit more canopy shading for people who are in line waiting to order and maybe two order windows open for service instead of only using one. But I love this place for the hot summer days with friends and family. Always great service and delicious treats! 5 stars for the people that work at The Ice Barn who are kind and friendly
Everything was really good, they had a covered shed next to the pick up window with picnic tables so you could sit outside and enjoy the weather with your snow ball. They had a ton of flavors which I loved, and I'll try one of the snacks next time I go. Only thing I didn't like was the cashier sold me on the kid cup (we were just going to share with her) until she told me kid cups came with a lid. When my order came I got no lid because they didn't have anyone annoying but whatever. We had fun all and all.
Have gone by to get some elote and shaved ice on a few occasions and I'm never disappointed. The mix of flavors with the elote is pretty unique and makes for one of the better options in town. We also ate the Dorinachos w/ Chili & Cheese and added jalapeños as well to give it a good amount of spice. Both the Dorinachos and Elote were perfect options to share with another person, so that worked out well for us. They also go with pretty good ratios of ice and syrup on their shaved ice, while also offering a ridiculous number flavor/toppings. I'm looking forward to my next trip for both shaved ice and elote.
The food and snowcones are SUPER GOOD. I love me some elite and shaved ice on a hit day. And for those days with a little bit of breeze, I recommend the natural coconut. It has coconut chunks, coconut snow cones and a little bit of coco juice and maybe coco ice cream. The service is good and everyone there is nice, sad it closed
